I could live without my beloved Field Engineers, but without the patch, it is like an utterly new game. If there is only one strategy to win, and additionaly the game shouts the whole time in my face what i should do, this isn't really strategic in any way.Īnd my thrid problem with the SupCom2 campaign: it lacks DLC support. You can beat all missions of the SupCom2 Cybran Campaign by just buildig Megaliths, even the naval mission! Same goes with the FA campaign, especially once you unlock the Paragon: Just turtle in your base and spam Fatboys, Soul Rippers or Czars. Either you rule everything by turtling and spamming death balls of units, or the game forces you to use one specific strategy to win. This isn't the case for Supreme Commander's Campaigns. If i play a campaign, than i want to analyze my opponent and discovery flaws in his strategy i can use to win a lost battle, for example: 'Aha, he has TMD, PDs and some AA turrets there, but he has no shields, so probably i should attack with mobile arty.' Or: 'Okay, he has fighters patrolling a heavy shielded defenisve line, probably i could teleport behind.' The problem with the Singleplayer of the Supreme Commander series is, next to the bad story, the fact that it lacks strategic depth. Though I have spent far more time pvp'ing. Originally posted by Ceejay:Each to their own, I like the single player campaign's, I find them quite relaxing to play once in a while.
